|Isabelle Strunc and France picked it up after a sloppyy first half to finish off Belarus in style|
France took full advantage as they outscored their opponents 55-23 in the second half of this U20 European Champions Women Group C clash to move to 2-0 in the group.
France jumped out to a 7-0 start before Belarus found some rhythm, pulling back to draw level at 11-11 as Aliaksandra Musatava split a pair of free throws.
But a nasty injury for Bohdan early in the second quarter then disrupted Belarus as their top-scorer from the opening game suffered a cut directly beneath the eye which saw her receive lengthy treatment courtside before being taken to hospital.
The incident knocked Belarus as France went on a 6-0 run, but after a time-out, Belarus rallied to finish the half on an 8-0 spurt that gave them a 29-26 lead at the break.
But Belarus had been severely weakened by the loss, and France blew them away early in the second half, with a three-point play from Manon Morel sparking a 12-1 run that put them 44-32 up.
France continued to pull clear, with the advantage passing 20 on Kelly Corre's lay-up early in the fourth quarter that made it 56-36.
Clementine Samson scored 20 points for France while Corre added 16. Hhadydia Minte scored 13 with 14 rebounds.
Maryia Filonchyk led Belarus with nine points and nine rebounds.
Although Bohdan had clearly been distressed by her injury, Belarus assistant Viktoriya Datsun confirmed afterwards she was doing okay in hospital.
"She is alright," Datsun said. "It was a bad elbow and a bad cut, but she is doing okay."
