Turkey held their nerve in a thrilling tie with Sweden to take a 56-53 win that sent them onwards to a semi-final against Spain.
And it brought one of the most dramatic conclusions at the U16 European Championship for Women in a game that came down to the very last shot.
Büsra Akbas had 19 points and her energy in the backcourt sparked the young Turks as they built an early 23-16 lead but then resisted Sweden's late pressure.
Down 28-26 at half-time, the Swedes twice edged 4 clear in the second half as Regan Maragity surged towards a haul of 18 points and as many rebounds.
But they were left to regret scoring just 3/15 from the foul line, and although Gabby Hansen hit two in the last minute, Melis Gülcan's three-pointer had given Turkey a lead they were able to protect as Hanson's late bid to secure overtime from long-range fell short.
"The last two games, we've really emphasised our defence," said Turkey coach Erkan Metin. "Everything we did revolved around that and here, it was the most important thing."
