Turkey booked their spot in the second round of the U16 European Championships for Women as a strong fourth quarter propelled them to a 57-46 win over the Netherlands in Group D.
The Dutch never led in the game but kept up intense pressure on their Group D rivals until a late 15-3 run ended their chances of remaining unbeaten.
Busra Akbas put the Turks 7-5 ahead and they never trailed again, using a 8-0 run as a platform to construct an unassailable advantage.
Down 31-22 at half-time, the Netherlands fought back to cut the deficit to just three points late in the third period.
With eight minutes left, they were just 42-40 behind but Turkey - led by 14 points and 9 rebounds from guard Ezgi Manlaci - hit six straight points.
And although the Turks failed to score in the last 2:23, an 8-0 burst in the fourth had already put them beyond reach.
Emese Hof had 13 points and 9 rebounds for the Dutch.
