Entente Orleanaise Outlast Azovmash

Entente Orleanaise beat Azovmash 80-76 in the first leg of the Eurocup Qualifying Round on Wednesday in France.

Entente was led by Troy Bell and his18 points, while Amara Sy scored 13 points to go with 6 assists. James Reynolds chipped in with 12 points.

Azovmash got a game-high 24 points from Ramel Curry, who also dished out 5 assists. Fred House tallied 14 points and Maksym Pustozvonov added 14 more while pulling in a game-high 13 rebounds.

Entente Orleanaise was up 20-15 on a jumper by Reynolds at the end of first ten minutes.

The home team ran off 13-0 run to start the second, capped by a Bell lay-up.

Bell then hit a three-pointer to push the lead to 42-24 with under two to play in the first half, but Azovmash closed out the period with a 9-0 run (42-33).

The third quarter was back and forth and Azovmash cut the deficit to 52-50 on a lay-up by Curry.

Entente Orleanaise opened a 80-70 with 1:12 on the clock, but Charles Thomas hit back-to-back three-pointers to cut the difference and give his team a fighting chance in the second game in Ukraine on October 6.
