Germany Move Forward
Bogdan Radosavljevic collected 16 points and 15 rebounds and Besnik Bekteshi scored 18 points as Germany eased past Finland 88-56 to advance to the Qualifying Round of the U18 European Championship Men.
Germany, who also received 10 points from Dennis Schröder, finished 2-1 in Group B by shooting 55 percent from the field for the game.
Finland dropped to 0-3 in the group despite 13 points from Joonas Caven and 11 from Kalle Naapi.
Finland led 11-6 early and were still ahead 15-10 before finishing the first quarter ahead 17-16.
Germany used a 12-0 surge spanning the first and second quarter to open a 25-17 advantage. Another 12-0 in the period made it 37-23 and the cushion was 41-24 at the break.
Germany mounted another 12-0 run in the third quarter to build a 58-30 lead, which was 65-42 after three periods.
The Finns pulled within 19 points but Germany also extended the lead to 32 points in the final frame.
