Spartak Saint-Petersburg rolled to their third straight victory in the EuroChallenge Last 16 on Tuesday with a 101-60 demolition of Maccabi Haifa.
Henry Domercant led the way for Spartak with 21 points.
Five others reached double digits, including recent signing Patrick Beverley, who contributed 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Spartak's Russia international and EuroBasket 2007 champion Anton Ponkrashov also had a nice game with 13 points six assists, a steal and a block.
Zvi Sherf's team, smarting from their weekend defeat at BC Triumph, took control of the meeting with a 15-0 run that began at the end of the first half.
A pair of Domercant free-throws made it 44-33 at the break and Spartak blew the contest wide open in the first four minutes of the third quarter by going on a 13-0 run.
Nikola Dragovic hit three shots from long range in that third-quarter burst.
Haifa had won last week at Barak Netanya.
The Israeli club is now 1-2.
Spartak Head Coach Zvi Sherf:
"We played today our fourth game during 9 days. We played good despite having problems. But during a season you can have problems. I am very satisfied with the result because we want to take the first place in the group and we have 3-0 after three games. After the injury of Dijon Thompson we changed our starting five where Zupan and Kolesnikov were but today they couldn't play because of injury and sickness. And we changed starting five one more time. But I am glad how Beverly connects with the team. He is in the team only for some weeks."
Spartak Player Alexey Kotishevsky:
"We took more than 100 points today. It's great but the most important thing is that we won. And it's not important how many points we took. We played good in defense today and made good shots in offence. Our coach told us before the game that Maccabi Haifa is a good team whitheight American players. And we tried to do our best."
Maccabi Haifa Head Coach Ami Nawi:
"We played today our fifth game during 9 days. But we played without energy not because of our tiredness but because of the game of Spartak in defense. Zvika is one of the best coaches in Europe and I know how much attention he pays to defense. With such good defense of Spartak we looked bad on the both sides of the court. In the first half we started to play defense but Spartak made some 3-points shots. In the second half my team played without energy and I don't know why."
Haifa Player Germain Jackson:
"After a not so good first quarter we let Spartak score only 11 points in the second quarter but in the third one they hit 50 percent of their 3-points shoots. We missed many open shoots, something has happened and I don't know what to say."
