Andre Smith went off for 23 points and 12 rebounds as Pinar Karsiyaka beat Apoel 76-68 and stayed perfect in EuroChallenge Group G.
The hosts built a double-digit advantage early on but then saw Apoel storm back to get on level terms in the third period.
However, Karsiyaka then reeled off a 13-2 run, capped by Smith's tip-in early in the fourth period, that made it a 69-56 game.
Apoel did not have another rally in them, and although they twice cut the gap to seven, they never again threatened to catch the hosts.
Furkan Aldemir scored 15 points for Karsiyaka, while Stanojevic added 12 and Birkan Batuk had 10.
Jeremiah Davis led Apoel with 23 points, while Ian Hanavan added 18 and Arthur Lee had 15 points.
Karşıyaka Head Coach Hakan Demir:
"We are happy to win an important game in front of our spectators once again. I congragulate my players for playing great defense from the beginning till the end. If you look at the stats, our out zone shuts were not satisfying, but from inside we were effective and by our defense we did not lose control of the game. I m also happy to see Andre Smith in his previous shape after his long time injury. His energy and power was so important for our win."
Karşıyaka Player Birkan Batuk:
"It makes us happy not to lose in our home court as our goal. We are happy to get this win with our captain Andre Smith back from his injury. We are looking forward to our next games."
Apoel Head Coach Yannis Christopoulos:
"We were expecting to play a hard game in a hard atmosphere. My players made the rights on defense as we planned but we could not make the offense as we were trying. In the second half at the critical times we made easy mistakes, and if you make these against a tough team as Pınar Karşıyaka, you do not have chance to win."
Apoel Player Jeremiah Davis:
"That was a hard game for both teams, Pınar Karşıyaka played better and won. We finished the game in here, but they will come to play in Nicosia too and the conditions are also hard for away teams to play there."
