Barak Netanya scored the final seven points of the game to turn a tie into a 71-64 win over Norrköping Dolphins in EuroChallenge Group D.
Having trailed for virtually all of the game, the Dolphins got themselves back into a tie, 64-64, thanks to Andrew Mitchell's three-pointer with 89 seconds left.
They had a chance to take the lead after Elton Brown missed for the hosts, but a turnover put the ball back in Barak hands and Adrian Banks, en route to 27 points, made a jump-shot to give them the lead once again.
Mitchell then turned it over again with a travelling violation, and Anton Saks was forced to foul Banks, who duly sank both free throws.
George Gervin then made it three turnovers in as many possessions for the Dolphins and Banks once again made them pay from the free throw line to make it 70-64 with eight seconds left.
The turnovers were contagious for the Dolphins, and Mikael Lindqvist threw the ball away to allow Chris Watson to score the final point from the stripe.
Turnovers were the story of the game for the Dolphins, who committed 19 to Barak's 10.
Brown finished with 12 points for Barak, while Watson had 10.
Joakim Kjellbom led the Dolphins with 11 points while Joseph McNaull had 10.
Netanya Player Adrian Banks:
"It was an ugly win but we had to win in order to restore our confidence. The coach had a long talk with me today about self -confidence and im happy that today the important throws went in."
Netanya Head Coach Arik Elfasi:
"It's better to live ugly then to die pretty, last week was a hard week for us, today we were also close to losing and im glad that the players made some good moves toward the end and brought us the victory. We should have won the game earlier, Brown didn't have a great day, but we are a better team than they are, even with two missing players. The bottom line is that the victory was very important for the players confidence. I have to also thank Shai Segalovich my assistant coach for the amazing preparation work he did."
Dolphins Head Coach Kelly Grant:
"I congratulate Netanya, I'm proud of my players and in the way they came back in the last quarter. Banks won the game with a great 3 pointer, we had some good shots towards the end, we gave good defense but you can never be happy with losing. We need to win at home by more than 7 points and I hope we will do so."
