Tartu Rock finally won a game in the EuroChallenge after coming from behind to force overtime and then beating Lugano Basket in Estonia.
The visitors from Switzerland led 71-54 early in the fourth quarter but weren't able to slam the door shut and eventually lost 91-88 in overtime to leave both sides with 1-3 records in Group C.
Callistus Eziukwu had 18 points and 15 rebounds for Tartu.
His biggest basket was a go-ahead jumper in the extra period.
Lugano will be kicking themselves after this defeat because they seemed to be in control.
Tartu Rock's Silver Leppik and George Tsintsadze hit back-to-back three-balls to spark a 10-0 run that reduced the deficit to 71-64 with 7:20 remaining.
The hosts eventually took an 80-78 lead with 1:20 to go in the contest on Rain Veideman's three-pointer, only for Mohamed Abukar to tie it.
Both sides missed chances to score at the end of regulation and the game went to overtime.
Eziukwu, with the game tied at 85-85, pulled up on a fast break and buried a jumper for Tartu with 2:04 left in the extra period.
After Abukar made just one of two free-throws, Veideman soared in for a lay-up and 89-86 lead.
The game ended up going down to the last possession.
Tartu led 91-88 when Talts (20pts, 8rbs) missed a lay-up with 12 seconds to go.
Michael Efevberha went to the other end and launched an attempt from the arc but had the shot blocked by Leppik.
Both sides made nine three-pointers and both struggled at the free-throw line.
Tartu were just 12 of 20 and Lugano 15 of 23.
Abukar had 23 points to lead four Lugano players in double figures in scoring, including Edwin Draughan (19pts, 12ass).
Lugano Basket Head Coach Joseph Welthon:
"Congratulations to Tartu Rock. We controlled the game, but in the 4th quarter we lost concentration and allowed our opponents to take the initiative. They made some important 3-pointers and forced us to take difficult shots. We tried to change the rythm by taking timeouts, but the end was not successful. We were well prepared for the game not thinking about the 12 points difference in the first game, but thinking about the win. Anyway, now we have a great oppurtunity to go to the next round, but of course it is not over yet, so we want to win next 2 games and will be ready for these games."
Lugano Basket player Derek Stockalper:
"We played well most of the game, but in the 4-th quarter we lost concentration, made some turnovers and bad shots and opponents took the chance. We have good shooters in our team and tonight was nothing special but normal shooting-night."
Tartu University/Rock Head Coach Indrek Visnapuu:
"Our opponents started realy well in offence considering it was an away-game. In the 4th quarter we had to take some risks and we were lucky. It allowed to continue in more aggressive way and we deserved the win. We are competitive compared with other teams in our group and we will prepare for the next games. Everything will be clear when last game is finished."
Tartu University/Rock Player Callistusn Ezuikwu:
"We started badly in defence, which allowed Lugano to make easy shots and score. In the last quarter we improved in defence and made us competitive and win the game in overtime. Today we had nothing to lose, but had to win to stay in competition to the next round."
