|Ivan Paunic's 17 points were not enough to avoid a loss for BC NN|
Szolnoki Olaj held off a late fightback from BC NN to record their first win in EuroChallenge Group A.
A huge night from Obie Trotter, who scored 35 points, proved enough for Szolnoki, but only just as they had to hang on.
The hosts had been up by 12, 83-71, with 1:41 to go after a lay-up from Zsolt Vesztergom, but NN had other ideas and mounted a comeback.
Semen Antonov got things started with a three-pointer before both Valiantsin Yurchyk and then Antonov split pairs of free throws to chip away at the lead.
Ivan Savelyev's lay-up made it 83-78 with 24 seconds left.
However, with the time ticking down, NN were forced to foul and Trotter padded the hosts' lead with a pair of free throws.
Yurchyk immediately responded with a lay-up and again they fouled, with Vesztergorm splitting his free throws to make it 86-80 with five seconds left.
Dmitry Kulagin dunked for NN but time had run out on their comeback attempt.
Trotter had an electric night, making eight of 14 (57.1%) of his three-point attempts while also dishing out four assists and grabbing six rebounds.
Marton Fodor and Marton Bader chipped in with 12 points each.
Ivan Paunic led NN with 17 points while Yurchyk had 14 and Antonov and Andrey Ivanov added 10 each.
