Stella Kaltsidou poured in 23 points to lead Bourges Basket through to the Quarter-Finals of EuroLeague Women with a 79-68 win over Good Angels Kosice.
After a topsy-turvy game which had seen Bourges blow an early lead to trail much of the way, the hosts used an 11-0 run midway through the fourth-quarter to turn a 61-60 deficit into a double-digit advantage, 71-61, on Catherine Joens' three-pointer.
Lucia Kupcikova sought to start a Good Angels revival with a quick three-pointer, but Greek international Kaltsidou responded in kind seconds later, and another three from Kaltsidou put the final nail in the coffin as she made it 79-66 with 22 seconds left.
Bourges had gone up 16-8 in the early going, but from 21-12 down, Good Angels went on a 14-0 run, capped by Kupcikova's jump-shot, that made it 26-21 in favour of the visitors midway through the second quarter.
They led 36-28 at the break but saw Bourges chip away at that in the third quarter to take the lead again, 39-38, on Kaltsidou's jump-shot with 6:15 to go in the period.
Emmeline Ndongue finished with 14 points and eight rebounds for Bourges, while Joens had 12 points, nine of them from beyond the arc.
Crystal Langhorne led Good Angels with 20 points while Kupcikova had 18 and Marina Solopova 13.
Candice Dupree also made a big impact with 14 rebounds.
Bourges had won the opening game 76-68, but could not repeat the trick as they went down 61-54 in Game 2.
"It was a very exciting game with a constant change in the lead. We made a collective effort, we fought even when we were missing some shots; with all the fans behind us it helped us win this game."
Stefan Svitek, Good Angels Kosice coach:
"I feel down as we had a chance to win this game. I pushed the team but we encountered some difficulties in [playing] defense. We kept fighting but the match was lost in the last quarter."
