ZVVZ USK Prague upset Cras Basket Taranto in Italy on Tuesday night in the EuroLeague Women play-offs.
Czech international Katerina Elhotova hit five of nine shots from long range and led all scorers with 21 points as Prague routed Cras, 73-56.
Eva Viteckova had 19 points while American center Delisha Milton-Jones weighed in with 13 and 10 rebounds.
Prague coach Lubor Blazek also got big performances from Czech center Petra Kulichova, who had a game-high 12 boards to go with her eight points, and USA international point guard Lindsay Whalen (7pts, 8ass, 2st).
When it was over, the statistics told the story.
Prague had out-rebounded Cras, 50-31, and they had out-shot the hosts, hitting seven of 17 shots from long range compared to zero for eight from Taranto.
Cras and their loyal fans didn't see this coming.
The Italian club led 39-35 at half-time, but Elhotova then took over.
With just five points at the break, she buried a trey to start the third quarter.
Milton-Jones, who assisted Elhotova on the shot, gave her another pass and Elhotova drilled it from behind the arc for a 41-39 Prague lead.
Elhotova's eruption was only getting started.
With Prague on top 43-42, Elhotova got to the line and made a pair of free-throws before popping her third three-ball of the quarter for a 48-42 lead.
By the end of the frame, Prague were on top, 58-45.
Their lead never dipped below double-digits in the fourth quarter.
On Friday, Elhotova and Co will be at home going for a 2-0 sweep of Taranto, who had finished first in Group A.
