EUROLEAGUE WOMENMKB Euroleasing survived, just barely, in their EuroLeague Women Eighth Final tie with Ros Casares as they snatched a 72-70 win at the death.
Having lost the opening game 84-56, MKB had a long way to go to show they could stay in this one, but kept scrapping and took several small leads in the fourth quarter, only to be instantly pegged back by the visitors.
Tijana Krivacevic's lay-up had them ahead 70-68 with 90 seconds to go, but Rebekkah Brunson's lay-up tied things up again with 56 seconds on the clock.
Katalin Honti drew a foul, but could only split her throws to make it 71-70 28 seconds from time.
But MKB grabbed the ball back and Katie Douglas fouled Zane Tamane with three seconds left.
She added one from the line, but a turnover from Edwige Lawson denied Ros Casares a final shot.
Krivacevic led MKB with 21 points while Marissa Coleman added 15 and Honti 12.
Ros Casares wasted 23 points and 13 rebounds from Brunson, while Douglas added 16, Marta Fernandez 13 and Cindy Lima 11.
