The first contest between Ros Casares and Bourges in Group D of EuroLeague Women was a blowout won by the Spanish in Valencia back on November 2. No two games are alike, though, as Bourges proved on Wednesday night by coming out on the winning side this time.
Pierre Vincent's team prevailed 58-55 with Endene Miyem hitting a go-ahead jump shot just 1:14 from the end.
Miyem ended up with 14 points to lead the French side in the victory.
Ros later had a chance to pull level after Catherine Joens missed the first of two free-throws with seven seconds to play.
Trailing by three, Rebbekah Brunson and Edwige Lawson-Wade missed potential game-tying shots from the arc as Bourges held on to join Ros at the top of the standings at 5-2.
There could be a three-way tie for first by the end of Thursday night because Beretta-Famila Schio are 4-2 going into their game against Gorzow.
Ros had a 22-11 lead early in the game but weren't able to press home the advantage.
They were led by Lawson-Wade and Brunson, with each scoring 15 points.
Bourges also got 10 points and six rebounds from Jennifer Digbeu and eight points and six boards from Ilona Burgrová.
