"Albania is a worthy opponent. Some of our players showed signs of complacency, and for three quarters they were punishing us for that. Fortunately, the experience of our players showed in the final period. Still, we failed to contain certain of their players, especially Ermal Kuqo, who was excellent offensively. Now we have to build on this result and demonstrate an even better effort in our forthcoming clash with Azerbaijan in Baku. Also, the result of tonight's game between Sweden and Romania again proves that there are no favorites in our group and the fight for first place will go down to the wire."

Pavel Ulyanko, Belarus player:
"We're still quite far away from our top form. The first thing we have to do is cut down the number of turnovers. Those mistakes could really cost us in the following games."

Mark Dickel, Albania coach:
"Congratulations to the Belarusian team. They deserved the victory. One of the positives we can take home from the game is that we showed a distinct improvement in comparison to our previous game. We have a bunch of young players who will surely develop and hopefully we'll show better results later on. I do think we can beat Belarus next year in Tirana."
