COACH QUOTES

Quotes Poland vs. Portugal

Moncho Lopez, Portugal head coach:

"I am very impressed with the atmosphere in the gym in Bydgoszcz, it was a pleasure to play here. Also the organizational part was excellent. Poland is very strong, with great starting five and we tried today but could not manage to beat them. They had solutions to our every weapon so I need to pass congratulations to Polish coach for his preparation."

Miguel Miranda, Portugal forward:

"We knew it will be hard game. We should have been more concentrated and done better job in execution. We can only win at this level of competition because of experience and 100 per cent execution and we haven't done this so far."

Igor Griszczuk, Poland head coach:

"We knew that Portugal is the team of excellent shooters so the key was the help defence played by our big guys. I am glad that we won the rebounds today what was the problem in Georgia game. Finally, we showed the character of Polish team today and I am very glad because of that."

Michal Chylinski, Poland guard:

"Obviously we are very happy. We played with better style than in Georgia.
We were very well prepared to this game, last two days were full of good work and it came into fruition on the court."
