GAME REPORT

BC Dynamo Run Riot In Second Quarter, Advance to Eurocup

Enterprise BC Dynamo brushed aside Amsterdam 78-48 on Tuesday to clinch a spot in the Eurocup.

Having lost the first leg of the Qualifying Round tie 64-63, the Russian team returned home and blew away the side from the Netherlands with a 29-point triumph on aggregate, putting the result beyond doubt with a dominating display in the second quarter.

Dynamo only led 20-19 nearly two minutes into the frame when they scored 13 straight points.

Amsterdam's Ramon Siljade knocked down a three-pointer to interrupt the run and make it 33-22, only for Dynamo baskets from Iliya Syrovatko, Yury Vasiliev and Dmitry Domani to open up a 17-point lead for the home side.

An Alexey Savrasenko jump shot at the half-time buzzer left Dynamo in command at 41-23.

Any Amsterdam hopes of a fight-back died when Domani and Sergey Bykov opened the third quarter with back-to-back three-pointers for a 47-23 lead.

Russia's national team point guard at the EuroBasket this summer, Bykov, led all scorers with 12 points at half-time and finished with 15 after playing a little more than 16 minutes in the contest.

Sergey Monya finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Domani also scored 15.

Savrasenko walked off the court with 15 points and seven rebounds.

He did the bulk of his damage in the second half when the game was effectively won.

The Russian outfit was 24 of 34 (70.5%) inside the arc compared to the visitors' 14 of 37 (37.8%).

The defeat means that Amsterdam will play in the EuroChallenge.

Robert Krabbendam had 10 points for the Dutch team, which turned the ball over 17 times and was outrebounded 35-25.
