The visitors from Montenegro had a dream start and led 28-21 at the end of the first quarter.

Scavolini reduced the deficit to 42-38 by half-time, though, and after a tight first seven minutes of the third quarter, they took the lead for good.

With the game level at 54-54, Nebojsa Joksimovic drilled a three-pointer to start a 13-4 run.

Daniele Cinciarini had five points in that spurt that left Pesaro with a 67-58 advantage.

With 3:13 to go, Marko Simonovic's lay-up cut the Scavolini lead to 80-74.

Joksimovic buried a trey and Michael Hicks Taylor followed with a jump shot to start a 10-0 run for Scavolini that put the result beyond doubt.

Taylor's 22 points led Scavolini while Vladimir Dragicevic finished with 17 points and 11 boards for Buducnost, who are 0-2 in the Last 16.

COACH QUOTES

Quotes Scavolini Pesaro vs. KK Buducnost

Branko Cvetkovic, Scavolini:

"We expected this to be a very tough game, and so it was. We played almost no defence in the first quarter with no energy at all. Then things changed and we improved in the game. For us it's one step forward towards the Final Four of EuroChallenge. We hope to get first position in order to eventually have the third game at home."

Luca Dalmonte, Scavolini Coach:

"We started the game in the wrong way, in the first 20 minutes we played wth no intensity. Much better in the second half, mostly in defense. We also managed to attack the basket with more aggressiveness."

Vladimir Dragicevic, Buducnost:

"We planned to keep the score low because we knew that Scavolini has a very good offense. But we didn't manage to make it and we didn't defend well enough to go point for point with them. that's why we lost."

Dejan Radonjic, Buducnost Coach:

"We did ok in first quarter, good intensity, good threepoint shooting, but then Scavolini came back and we didn't play defense as planned. When we were winning we made also stupid mistakes that didn't help us to take a strong lead. Then in the third quarter Scavolini took the lead and then we never had the chance to get back in it."
