Ruoff Leads Belgacom Past Enisey In Battle For First

Belgacom Liege wrapped up first place in Group E of the EuroChallenge with a 73-65 home victory over Enisey Krasnoyarsk.

The winners finished with five wins and just one defeat while Enisey ended up 3-3.

The visitors from Russia needed to win by seven points or more to clinch first place.

More important, however, is that the Krasnoyark club will advance to the Last 16.

The game was knotted at 55-55 when Alex Ruoff buried a three-ball.

He then delivered an alley-oop pass to Josh Duncan who scored for a five-point advantage.

The Belgians led the rest of the way.

Ruoff's 16 points led the way for Belgacom Liege while Enisey's Lionel Chalmers poured in a game-high 24 in defeat.
