Daniele Cinciarini scored 16 points to lead Scavolini Pesaro to a 66-41 rout of Amsterdam in their EuroChallenge Group C opener.
Eric Williams also had a big night for the hosts, scoring 10 while grabbing nine rebounds, all on the defensive end, as the Italian club did a great job of shutting down their Dutch visitors.
Pesaro wasted little time in establishing their dominance in this game, with Cinciarini's three-pointer less than six minutes into the game making it 13-4.
It was as much as Amsterdam could do to stop the lead stretching into double figures, but that barrier was broken when Cinciarini made it 30-20 shortly before half-time, and Pesaro never looked back.
Dusan Sakota also had 11 points, nine of them coming from long-range.
Shooting would prove the difference between these two teams. Amsterdam managed to outrebound their hosts, but it counted for nothing as they managed only 17 of 48 (35%) from the field, including a woeful one of 10 showing from three-point range.
Not a single Amsterdam player scored in double figures, with Christopher Rodgers, Sergio de Randamarie and Jessey Voorn scoring seven each.
