BC "Minsk-2006" defeated Amsterdam for the second time this season to go out of the EuroChallenge on a winning note. Dzianis Korshuk scored 15 points and hauled in nine rebounds for the home side in a 67-64 victory. The Belarus outfit trailed 62-61 on Tuesday night with 2:15 remaining after a lay-up by Amsterdam's Christopher Rodgers. Alexander Fomin drew a foul by the Dutch team's Alton Mason and sank both free-throws before his Minsk teammate Dzmitry Kuzmin nailed a jumper for a 65-62 lead. After Amsterdam's Sergio de Randamie scored to cut the deficit to 65-64, Korshuk knocked down another jump shot. Mason had a chance to tie near the end but was off target with a three-pointer. The Dutch team finished 0-6 in a disappointing EuroChallenge while Minsk ended up 2-4. |
