Quotes BC Dnipro vs.
Dynamo Kyiv

Volodymir Ruzhov, Dynamo NPU Kyiv coach:
"We had the chance but we didn't play make it. BC Dnipro deserved the victory. We don't have a strong center player. But we still provided them with strong opposition and we could have won. The team got careless at the end and that cost us."

Ol'ga Dubrovina, BC Dnipro player:
"At the beginning of the game we were confident and our game was strong. Then we relaxed and then became nervous. Dynamo meanwhile started making their three-point shots. We were told that if that happened the game would become very difficult. During our preparation for this game we considered all options, but on the day we did the exact opposite. It's very hard to begin the EuroCup without having played national league games. (We have not played a game for) more than six months during which time we played only friendlies. That is why there was a lot of nervous moments. But we won in the end."

Andrii Shaptala, BC Dnipro coach:
"At the first half of the game our defense was strong. There was no problem. But in the second half came complete failure. Perhaps we should have not pushed so much at the beginning to save our energy for the late part of the game. I think this (lack of strength) also influenced our shot-taking. But we have the victory and that's what matters. Our American players have just arrived in Ukraine and they didn't know our game. It's clear that Dynamo will be a tough opponent also in Kiev. We should be ready."
