Haydar Ates' team took control in the first half and handed out a severe beating to a good Brno team, doing a lot of its damage at the free-throw line where it made a scintillating 16 of 17 (94.1%).
The hosts went in front to stay in the first quarter with a 6-0 burst that turned an 8-7 deficit into a 13-8 lead.

Brno pulled to within 17-16 on a lay-up by Taj McWilliams but Yilmaz answered with another three-point play.
