Frisco Sika Brno returned to the top of EuroLeague Women Group D with an 83-72 home win over Lotos Gdynia.
Taj McWilliams had 22 points and seven rebounds for Brno, who won for the third time in this year's competition while dropping Lotos to 2-2.
McWilliams has been a very important addition to the Brno line-up this year and that was clear in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's game when she scored the points to fire Brno to victory.
After Magdalena Leciejewska's three-pointer for Lotos knotted the contest at 67-67 with 5:57 remaining, McWilliams made back-to-back jump shots and then sank two free-throws to put Brno in front for good.
Petra Kulichova followed with back-to-back jump shots to extend the lead to 77-67 and the Czech giants stayed in command the rest of the way.
Hana Horakova had 15 points, Eva Viteckova 14 and Kulichova 13 for Brno, who are now one point clear of Spartak Moscow Region - the only side to beat them.
Spartak have a game in hand.
Ivana Matovic finished with 20 points and eight rebounds for Lotos.
Jan Bobrovsky (Frisco Sika Brno):
"The team of Gdyna surprised me with a very good performance. I don´t think that our rival played in the second part of the game bad in defense, but they couldn´t keep our best player McWilliams in check. In the last quarter some players of Gdyna played individually and they helped us picked up the balls and decide the result."
Jacek Winnicki (Lotos Gdyna):
"We lost the game in the end. We didn´t play offense well, we stopped playing defense and made too many mistakes. We didn't have our full roster. We played in the last quarter very selfishly."
