FMP Down Courageous Dutch

BC FMP Zeleznik turned on the style in front of their home fans in Belgrade and won 83-67 over EclipseJet MyGuide Amsterdam on Tuesday.

The triumph gave them a 143-133 triumph on aggregate against the Dutch giants and put them into the EuroCup Qualifying Round 2 where they will face Ural Great Perm of Russia.

Beaten 66-60 in the Netherlands last week, the Serbian side opened up a 38-29 advantage at half-time in the return leg.

They extended their lead in the game on Tuesday to 61-41 by the end of the third quarter and the Dutch team never threatened the rest of the way.

Dragan Labovic had 22 points for FMP, a club that has been described as a talent factory in Serbia with numerous players having made their names with the team before going on to join some of the biggest outfits in the country.

Nemanja Protic had 16 points and Filip Covic 11.

Clint Harrison and Teddy Gipson each had 14 points for Amsterdam.
