Stanislav Eremin, coach of Triumph Lyubertsy: We won today and showed a good game. Having lost the first game of the series at home we put ourselves into a difficult situatuion. The key moment for us today was defense. We scored our points, made a good difference from the beginning and did not let Ural Great catch up the tempo. I told my players we did 50% of our job today. Now we return the series to Moscow and the third game will be different and even more difficult.
Marcus Goree, player of Triumph Lyubertsy: We were focused from the very beginning of the game. We played our defense well. We let Ural Great score easy baskets in the first game in Moscow but we corrected our mistakes today and won.
Aleksandar Kesar, coach of Ural Great: Taking into account the quality of the Triumph team we expected this game to be tough. But nobody could expect such a defeat. We did not come into the game as we were supposed to. We let Triumph score some easy points and missed too many of our shots. We let them have too big of an advantage to make up for it. The series is 1-1 now. We still have the game in Lyubertsy and this gives us a chance.
Vanja Plisnic, player of Ural Great: We knew this game would be hard. Triumph pulled away too far early in the game and we could not come back. There are many reasons for this loss but I don’t want to make excuses. I hope we will learn from this game. |
