"We were a bit lucky that two key players of Samara couldn't play. But for today we also had problems with the team roster. Samara are is known for their tough character but their play is unstable. In the first quarter we played good defense and put a gap [between us]. We didn't handle Perry but in total the game was easier for us than I thought."

"The team won today and that's the main thing. In the offense we didn't handle Marque Perry but it is better for one opponent to score 26 points [against us] but the team still win by 20 points than the opposite."

"The main reason of the defeat  is the absence of two of our key players, the injured Sullivan and the food poisoned Demeshkin; no doubt they could have helped us. We recently played Triumph in the Russian League and looked very good, I think, and could have won [that]. Today I had to break the set and let Vladimir Filippov play on four. This is a bit unusual for us."

"The reason of the defeat I think was our many turnovers from which they scored so many easy points. Besides we didn't handle Bremer who not only scored a lot but he also gave out many assists."
