BC Kyiv led from start to finish and blew out Galatasaray Cafe Crown 95-62 in EuroChallenge Top 16 action.
Clay Tucker was among six Kyiv players to reach double figures in points with 15 while Jovo Stanojevic and Artur Drozdov each had outstanding all-round efforts for the Ukrainian giants.
Drozdov finished with 14 points and nine rebounds while Stanojevic poured in 13 with a team-high 10 boards.
Galatasaray never recovered a 13-0 run by Kyiv that gave the hosts a 17-3 lead late in the first quarter.
Scoonie Penn, then Tucker and Penn again hit three-pointers at the start of the scoring explosion that allowed the home side to establish control.
The visitors from Turkey did managed to claw their way back and trail 35-29 late in the second quarter after a three-point play by big center Hüseyin Besok , one of the standout performers in the EuroChallenge this season.
Kyiv opened up a 44-33 lead by half-time, however, and a 10-0 run to start the third quarter that was capped by three-balls from Manuchar Markoishvili and Drozdov saw the hosts grab the game by the scruff of the neck.
Sasa Obradovic's Ukrainian outfit finished eight of 25 from long range while Galatasaray struggled, hitting just two of 22.
Besok led his team with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Galatasaray are now 0-2 in Group J while Kyiv are 2-0.
I am happy with the final margin of win. We were able to rotate the players, which allowed us to save some energy for the upcoming matches. Perhaps Galatasaray did not show their best game, but I am still happy to see how we played. I am not completely satisfied with the intensity we had at the start of the game though.

I agree with the coach. We showed a good game today, were faster, more organized. Our confident run at the start of the second half determined the outcome of the game. We should stay focused in the remaining matches.
