Belgacom Liege defeated EiffelTowers 81-68 on the opening night of EuroChallenge Top 16 play. Jamar Wilson finished with a game-high 24 points for Belgacom in the Group I triumph while teammate Justin Cage had 15. Leading 31-25, the home side went on a 12-4 run over the last 6:14 of the second quarter for a commanding half-time advantage. Tom Johnson's team then scored the first seven points of the fourth quarter to put the result beyond doubt. Liege did a lot of damage from long range, making nine of 15 while EiffelTowers were just four of 17. Dean Oliver scored 16 points in defeat for the Dutch side. |
