Wysocki Hits Big Shots As
Skyliners Beat Triumph

Deutsche Bank Skyliners edged BC Triumph in a thrilling EuroChallenge clash on Tuesday.

Germany national team ace Konrad Wysocki scored 17 points and 10 rebounds for Skyliners.

Both sides are now 1-1  in Group H.

Wysocki hit a go-ahead three-pointer with 5:33 remaining to make it 65-62 for the Frankfurt team.

Triumph's Marcus Goree, the former Benetton Treviso and CSKA Moscow man, had an opportunity to tie the contest but made just one of two at the charity stripe to leave his team behind 66-65.

Ilian Evtimov went to the other end and scored for Skyliners and after Goree missed from the field for the Russians, Titus Ivory made a lay-up to open up a five-point advantage.

The Frankfurt side held on for victory.

Wysocki was three of three from long range and as a team, Skyliners nailed 10 of 20.

Alan Jeffrey Anderson scored 15 points for Triumph.

Quotes D. Bank Skyliners
vs. BC Triumph

Pascal Roller, Frankfurt Player:

"I am very happy about the win. We played with very high concentration and made only a few mistakes. We do not have such a deep roster as Moscow, but we played as a team and deserved the win."

Marcus Goree, Moscow Player:

"They always came back and hit important shots. There defense was the key. The really controlled us inside."

Moscow Coach Stanislav Eremine:

"In the first half we had problems on offense. We did not move the ball well, we were too slow and made too many mistakes. In the second half the offense was better, but we could not defend their perimeter guys. Congratulations to Frankfurt. They played a really good game."

Frankfurt Coach Murat Didin:

"We had a lot of respect for Moscow, but we knew that if we played good team basketball, we would have a chance to beat them. Especially on defense we showed a great game. My players put all their energy and heart into it. I congratulate them. Everybody was part of this victory tonight."
