Kalev Snatch Victory At the Buzzer

Tanel Sokk hit a jump shot with four seconds remaining to give BC Kalev Cramo a 77-75 home win over Deutsche Bank Skyliners in EuroChallenge Group H.

On the first day of the regular season, Kalev fans were treated to a barnburner.

As is normally the case for the Baltic teams, the three-pointers fell. Kalev drilled eight of their 16 attempts in the game compared to a nine-of-32 effort for the German outfit.

Kalev appeared to be in command with 1:58 remaining after a Sokk lay-up extended their lead to 75-68.

The Frankfurt club reeled off seven consecutive points, however.

Two free throws apiece from Derrick Allen and Keith Simmons and then an Ivory three-ball knotted the game at 75-75 with 28 seconds remaining.

Estonia international Sokk hit his jumper to put Kalev back in front before Germany national team point guard Pascal Roller missed a three as time expired.

Deutsche Bank forced 21 turnovers and committed just 10 themselves but still lost.

Allen led all scorers with 23 points with Ivory chipping in 17 in defeat.
