BC Kyiv secured their progression from EuroChallenge Group H with a 78-46 rout of Deutsche Bank Skyliners on Tuesday night. In a battle of second and third-placed teams, Kyiv left little to chance in a lop-sided battle that saw the hosts take a 15-3 first-quarter lead and never look back. Manuchar Markoishvili and Kenan Bajramovic had 17 points each for the victors, who made 24 of 47 (51%) from the field, including eight of 17 (47%) from beyond the arc. That compared with some miserable shooting from the hosts, who made only 17 of 50 (34%) of their shots, and failed to get a player into double figures. Derrick Allen and Ilian Evitmov were the highest scorers for the Skyliners with eight each. Kyiv dominated in every department, and forced 20 turnovers from the visitors. Kyiv finished the group 4-2 while the Skyliners drop to 2-4. |
