Sharrod Ford's tip-in at the end of overtime lifted Virtus Bologna to their second straight heart-stopping win in the EuroChallenge.
Ford tipped in a miss from Earl Boykins for a 75-73 win - one week after their one-point home triumph over Base Oostende.
Boykins, the former NBA guard who is now the floor general for Virtus, tried to win the game at the end of regulation but was off target with a jump shot.
Boykins again had an opportunity to claim victory with a jumper only two seconds from the end of the extra period but missed again.
Ford, who had 16 points and 12 rebounds, was in position to go up and tip the ball in for the win.
Tanoka Beard had 17 points and 14 boards for Tartu Rock (1-1).
Tartu started this game like a house on fire, scoring the first nine points.
Virtus gradually came back and a Guilherme Giovannoni tip-in tied the contest at 17-17 early in the second period, only for Tartu Rock to surge back into a 28-20 advantage.
Jamie Arnold poured in the last four points of the first half to leave Virtus trailing 30-28.
The game went back-and-forth in the third quarter before Virtus took a 49-44 lead to the final frame after a Guilherme jump shot.
After Boykins scored with 1:09 remaining to put his team on top at 66-61, Virtus were in a good position to win in regulation.
Janar Talts buried a three for Tartu, though, and then Gert Kullamäe hit a lay-up to tie the contest before Boykins missed at the end of the game.
Ford saved the day in regulation for Virtus.
