EclipseJet MyGuide edged EWE Baskets Oldenburg 76-73 in a EuroChallenge Group E game on Tuesday.
Victor Thomas sparked the Amsterdam club with 18 points while Jasmin Perkovic finished with 11 for German outfit EWE Baskets and also pulled down eight rebounds.
In what was probably the key moment in the fourth quarter when the game hung in the balance, Teddy Gipson came up big for the Amsterdammers as he has on so many occasions before.
After a three-point play by Rickey Paulding of EWE Baskets capped a 10-2 run and closed the gap to 63-62 with 3:50 remaining, Gipson answered with a three-ball to restore the four-point advantage.
MyGuide didn't pull away, but the German team got no closer than three the rest of the way.
Arik Shivek, the MyGuide coach, kept his feet on the ground after his team's second straight win in the competition.
"The season is long," he said.
Daniel Strauch of EWE Baskets (1-1) looked ahead to the next meeting with MyGuide.
"I hope we beat them at home," he said.
Jason Gardner, whose last-second three-pointer accounted for the final score line, had 16 points to lead EWE Baskets.
Predag Krunic, EWE Basket Head Coach:
"They were better on the big points and the rebounds."
Daniel Strauch, EWE Basket Player:
"I hope we beat them at home."
Arik Shivek, Amsterdam Head Coach:
"They are very disciplined and strong. I was happy with the performance of our bench players. The season is long."
Robert Krabbendam, Amsterdam Player:
"I'm not completely happy with the way I played. It always can be better, but I think the coach was satisfied."
