Player Earl Jerrod Rowland (Telekom Baskets Bonn):
"Today the whole team played very well. We knew that Nicosia would be a strong opponent because they dominate their own league. I was I little bit surprised that it was so easy for us, Nicosia can play much better. After the last two games in the German league we were confident the win this game too. The first quarter was the key for that victory. We showed our next opponents that it is be very difficult to take the win in Bonn."
Player Lamarr Greer (Keravnos Nicosia):
"There is not much to say. Bonn is a good team and they played together very well. We did not find our rhythm during the whole game. The new gym is beautiful, the atmosphere is great and I like the way the fans support their team. I went for a walk downtown and even on the streets people been talking about Telekom Baskets."
Michael Koch (Coach Telekom Baskets Bonn):
"Today we were very motivated. In the EuroCup-qualification against Athens, we could not show our best basketball. Today, we were already a bit closer. I am proud that we currently have two very good pointguards. The victory, however, belongs to the whole team that has offered a very good game today to the fans. In this competition, it is very important to win the games at home. Nevertheless, this is not enough. We also need to win at least one game on the road. How difficult this can be; Nicosia showed us today. The long trips make the games on the road hard for every team. We will see how we cope with the journey to Perm next week."
Vasilios Fragias (Coach Nicosia):
"Of course we came to Bonn to win the game but I knew that the Telekom Baskets are the better team. To reach the next round in EuroChallenge you have to win on the road. Today this was not possible. The new gym in Bonn is perfect. Rarely were we so well received. Everyone was very courteous. Only two things were bad. The game result and the weather."
