Deutsche Bank Cash In With Late Allen Jumper

11.11.2008

Derrick Allen hit a game-winning jump shot at the buzzer as Deutsche Bank Skyliners won the second leg of their EuroChallenge Qualifying Round 2 tie with Antalya Basket to advance in the competition.

With the first leg in Frankfurt, Germany, having finished 60-60, there was all to play for in Turkey on Tuesday.

Michael Green of Antalya made a lay-up with 26 seconds remaining to knot the game at 65-65, but the German outfit won at the death.

Allen caught a pass from Titus Ivory and drilled the game-winning jump shot for a 67-65 win to qualify Deutsche Bank for the EuroChallenge Regular Season.

Ilian Evtimov was four of eight from long range and scored 16 points for the winners and Germany's Olympic forward Konrad Wysocki added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Marcus Douthit and Ersin Görkem each had 16 points and Green 15 for Antalya.

Douthit also grabbed 11 rebounds.
