CBC Siroki trailed late but won 80-76 over Svendborg Rabbits on Tuesday to claim a 180-168 triumph on aggregate in the EuroChallenge Round 1 clash.
Kevin Levelle Braswell poured in 18 points, dished out six assists and grabbed four rebounds for the Bosnia and Herzegovina side, while Johnell Smith scored 19 and hauled in 11 boards in defeat.
Smith also handed out eight assists in his strong showing for Rabbits.
Leading by eight after the first leg success in Denmark, Siroki went in front by as many as eight on Tuesday in the first half before going to the changing rooms with a 49-44 advantage.
They weren't able to pull away from the Rabbits, though, and twice the visitors went in front by two in the fourth quarter only for Siroki to eventually prevail and seal their progression.
Siroki finished 10 of 31 from long range.
The Danish out hurt their own cause with 20 turnovers, compared to just 14 for the home side.
Craig Pedersen, Head Coach of Svenborg Rabbits:
"Two crucial things determined the match. First we had too many turnovers i.e. lost balls, and secondly the host team had a far better percentage of the shots in the moments when the match was being decided."
"We were hosted perfectly in Siroki Brijeg, and we're happy to play in a beautiful sport arena."
Josip Vrankovic, Head Coach of Siroki Brijeg:
"As I had expected the match was very tough. Svenborg plays a basketball of a high quality. I am not unsatisfied with our playing, in spite of many oscilations in the quality of playing. They must be understood since there are so many young players on the team."
Johnell Smith, Player of Svenborg Rabbits:
"The game was good, we dug a hole for ourselves by loosing too many balls (turnovers) in the first period. We entered the last period with full heart, but the quality of the host players was crucial."
Pero Dujmovic, Player of Siroki Eronet:
"I congratulate the guests for the fair and correct playing. This was a completely different match in comparison to the first one in Denmark, with far less points. I am happy for the victory in front of our supporters."
