Halcon Avenida rode a big home-court advantage to an 80-69 victory over CSKA Moscow in the EuroLeague Women.
Le'Coe Willingham poured in 21 points and both Petra Stampalija and Gunta Basko contributed 14 for the Salamanca outfit.
Avenida went in front for good with a 7-0 scoring burst early in the second quarter that gave them a 27-21 advantage.
They led by as many as 20 in the fourth quarter.
Jose Ignacio, the Avenida coach, said: "The team played a fantastic game.
"Our defense was very good, we fought a lot and we made very few mistakes.
"Maybe it was our best game of this season. It will be difficult to win in Moscow but we are going to try and we´ll see what happens."
Latvia international guard Basko was all smiles after the triumph.
"We played like a team and it was really exciting," she said.
"Now we must think of the game in Moscow and we have to play with the same attitude."
CSKA were just two of 18 from long range in the game.
They were in awe of the support that the Salamanca crowd gave to the home side.
"It was a difficult game for us," Russia international Ilona Korstin said.
"The atmosphere in the gym was absolutely fantastic and you feel as if you are playing against six players.
"Now we want to come back and play the third game here."
