Ros Casares bounced back from last week's overtime setback to UMMC Ekaterinburg with a 99-51 mauling of Union Hainaut Basket on Wednesday in the EuroLeague Women. Delisha Milton-Jones scored 25 points and Amaya Valdemoro 21 for the Valencia club, which improved to 2-2 in Group C. Valenciennes outfit Union Hainaut dropped to 2-2. Ros Casares blew the game wide open in the first quarter. With the score 4-4, Milton-Jones had a three-point play and Valdemoro followed with a shot from the arc. Jana Vesela added a basket before Milton-Jones scored six straight points with two more free throws and a pair of baskets. By the end of the first quarter, Ros Casares led 33-13. Milton-Jones had 13 of those points and Valdemoro 12. The French outfit fell even further behind by half-time at 48-23 and was brushed aside in the second half. Ros out-rebounded Union Hainaut 38-26. The home side also made 36 of 44 shots inside the arc for a scintillating 81.8%. |
