In a dramatic finale, Hungary missed two chances to at least tie the game in the last 20 seconds of the game.

She made her first free throw but missed the second to leave France narrowly ahead.

However, Hungary had one more chance to win it after Zsofia Fegyverneky snatched the ball and fed Barbara Semsei, but she missed the jumper as the buzzer sounded.

Ndongue made eight of 12 (67%) from the field to lead France with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Endene Miyem added 12 points and Isabelle Yacoubou-Dehoui had 10 and six rebounds.
