Pierre Vincent, France head coach:
"A victory is always a good thing but... We had a lot of problems. At some point we just refused some shoots, we did not always take the right decisions. Therefore, there is still a lot of work for us to do."
Pauline Krawczyk, France forward:
"When we win, everything looks good. We had a lot of open shots but we missed also a lot. We have to take now one game after the other. Against Hungary, it will be a different ball game."
Pokey Chatman, Slovak Republic head coach:
"I am disappointed. I knew it was going to be tough. We had 21 turnovers and against France you can't win like this. We've also missed to many shots."
Lucia Laskova, Slovak Republic forward:
"France played good defence. We did not get any open shoot. We played good defence as well, but we missed to many shoots."
