Kostas Flevarakis, Sweden coach:
"I said before the match that I expected a very tough game and that we had to be very patient. It's always hard with the first game, especially when it's at home - there is more pressure. The pressure was obvious. We played better and better and the last quarter was our best."
Jay Larranaga, Ireland coach:
"In the first half we did a good job by playing the tempo that we wanted to play. We felt going into the game that the Swedish team was very big. They [Sweden] went inside and were very effective starting off in the second half."
Jonas Jerebko, Sweden player:
"We were ready for a very tough game, but started off very bad. I don't know if we were nervous or what the reason was. We improved in the second half and played well and got the win."
Conor Grace, Ireland player:
"I thought the first half was pretty even. The in the second half they [Sweden] took advantage of our slumps. Congratulations to Sweden!"
