COACH QUOTES

Quotes Netherlands vs. Austria

Neno Aseric, Austria Coach:

"I would like to congratulate Holland on their victory. When you start a game like my team did you know the result you'll get. We lacked concentration. We did come back in the game, but we had a lot of problems in our offense. Holland played a very physical game. Our only chance was to play hard in defense. Before the match I was confident we could beat Holland.  Our problem was we were not ready. There was not one normal offense we could set up. For Holland Wessels and Slagter played a very, very good game. Honestly, I never expected they could play that well."

Gadi Kedar, Netherlands Coach:

"We only played three good quarters. Our first quater was good and our second half was good. In the second quarter we played poor defense and we were sloppy in our offense. The other three quarters in the game were not bad. We had prepared well for the game Austria was going to put on the floor. They did what we expected and we made it happen."

Peter van Paassen, Netherlands:

"We did a good job tonite. Arvin Slagter and Stefan Wessels really had their game together. Once there was a big gap we played more relaxed and our good decisions came easier."
