Lithuania finished the Preliminary Round with a perfect 3-0 record after beating Greece 89-77 in Group A.
This was a win-or-die game for Greece, who fall to 1-2 and close the list of teams in Group A, on the way to the 13-16 classification games.
Lithuania will carry two wins to the Qualifying Round and will be joined by Ukraine and Croatia.
Five players scored in double-digits for Lithuania led by Martynas Gecevicius with 16 points and five rebounds, Lukas Brazdauskis who had 14 points and 13 rebounds and Adas Juskevicius with 13.
Evangelos Sakellariou and Nicholas Calathes scored 16 each and Alexandros Sigkounas added 15 with seven rebounds.
By the end of the first quarter Calathes picked already seven points, and that was enough to give Greece an 23-18 lead after ten minutes.
Janavicius helped Lithuania kick off the second quarter with a 9-0 run and take control of the game, and a three-pointer with the buzzer by Vasiliauskas made it a 43-34 at the half.
Gecevicius hit from long range as Lithuania's lead climbed to 14 in the third and Greece seemed on the way to the last place, but it was yet too early to burry their hopes.
Down by 12 with seven minutes to play Greece started their journey back to the game.
The famous pressure of Greece on defense was joined by back-to-back three-balls by Sakellariou which forced a Lithuania time-out, this time up by only four points, 70-66, but that was the end of the run.
The leaders replied with seven unanswered points and after an unsportsmanlike foul the outcome became clear.
