In the battle between the two perfect teams in Group E Lithuania remained perfect entering the semi-finals of the Termosteps U16 European Championship Men after a 76-48 win over the Czech Republic.
Lithuania finish on top of Group E with a 5-0 record, while the Czechs suffer their first loss to finish second with a 4-1 balance.
Since their teams already secured the spot in the semis both coaches allowed some of their main players to rest, which created the big difference between the two.
It didn't take long before Lithuania took over the game. The gap was created already in the first minutes, and from that point until the buzzer it just kept getting bigger and bigger.
The Czechs saved their energy for another day, and will wait for Saturday night to show their true presence again.
Jonas Valanciunas scored 13 points, added nine boards and two blocks, while Vytenis Cizauskas scored 11 and Dovydas Redikas scored ten.
Jan Lipovy led the losing side with ten points.
It took more than four minutes for the Czechs to get on the board and by then Lithuania was up by nine already.
Tautvydas Sabonis made it a 14 point game after ten minutes, as the gap continued to grow deep inside the second.
After a 42-19 half time lead Lithuania made a 13-0 run that turned the score to a blow out.
Lithuania will face France in one side of the semi-finals while the Czech Republic will try to make history against Turkey.
