Zagreb Breeze Into Next Phase
// 28 November 2007

Gravelines crashed out of the EuroCup with a 100-88 home defeat to KK Zagreb.

Destroyed 85-62 in the opening leg, the French team needed a miracle comeback but they were brushed aside by the team from Croatia who prevailed 185-150 on aggregate.

Zagreb scored the game’s first nine points and after the contest, Danijel Jusup, the Zagreb coach, was asked if the game had been easy for his team.

"It looks easy,” he said, “but before the game I told my players it wasn't going to be easy. We have a lot of young players in their first European competition and I wasn't sure how they were going to react.

"In the first quarter, we ran very well, got a lot of easy points and then it was easier for us to play.

"We controlled the game up to the last few minutes.”

Mario Dundovic led Zagreb with 19 points while Jakov Vladovic chipped in 17.
