Cholet Run Away With Big Win Over AEK
// 27 November 2007

Cholet Basket hit back from a nine-point first-leg deficit to beat struggling AEK Athens 78-55 and advance to the EuroCup Qualifying Round.

The French club won the battle of the boards 44-25, with Steed Tchicamboud pulling down eight of those to go with his 13 points.

Shooting guard Nando De Colo had a game-high 22 points for Cholet, though he was six of 15 (40%) from the floor, including three of seven (42.8%) from behind the arc.

AEK were just three of 23 (13%) from long range.

Cholet trailed 12-9 midway through the opening quarter but a three-ball from Tchicamboud started a 10-0 run that put them in front for good.

They would easily overcome the first-leg defeat and end up leading by as many as 26 points in the fourth quarter.

Cholet will now carry the flag for France in the competition with Gravelines bowing out following a defeat to KK Zagreb.
