MiZo Pécs 2010 won 77-72 at USO Mondeville Basket on Wednesday, with Anna Vajda and Zsofia Fegyverneky each pouring in 19 points in the win.
It was a balanced scoring attack for the Hungarians, who also got 17 points from Emilija Podrug and 10 from captain Dalma Ivanyi.
The triumph has left MiZo in sole possession of second place in Group D at 5-3.
Caroline Aubert, the Mondeville sharpshooter, led her team with 16 points.
The French star was four of six (66.6%) from three-point range and she also had seven assists.
Mondeville dropped to 2-6, but they are in fifth place above Germano Faenza, who also have the same record.
Olivier Hirsch, coach USO Mondeville:
"My team was surprised although I warned them before about the speed of the inside players of Pecs. In the first half, we did relatively well. In the second half we took too many three-point shots. We were not able to play with our centers and there was no balance between the inside and the outside. With this defeat, it will be complicated for the qualification and we have to give it everything in the last games."
