Jolly JBS Sibenik used a 22-12 final quarter to surge to an 80-71 victory over Halcon Avenida in Group B of the EuroBasket Women.

The Croatians had a 45-42 lead at the halfway stage but slipped to a one-point deficit after a nervy third quarter.

The hosts took control in the final 10 minutes, though, and came out on top for their first win of the competition.

They are 1-1 after two games, while the Spanish are without a win at 0-2.

American Jessica Dixon was the star for Sibenik 21 points, supported by Anda Jelavic (18 points and six assists).

Anna Montanana's 23 points and six rebounds were in vain for the Spanish side.
