Miyem, Snell propel Bourges To Big Win
// 09 January 2008

French giants Bourges Basket moved into second place in Group B of the EuroLeague Women with a 79-59 win over Halcon Avenida.

Endene Miyem, the France youth international, scored 19 points to lead Bourges, who improved to 4-4.

Leading 43-42 early in the third quarter, a Miyem jump shot ignited a 14-4 run for Bourges.

They led 59-49 by the end of the third quarter, and held a double-digit advantage for the entire fourth period.

Miyem was nine of 12 from the floor, including 9-11 inside the arc, while the Australia international Belinda Snell had 20 points to top the scoring for Bourges.

Snell is the player who famously led Australia to a come-from-behind win over Brazil in the 2006 FIBA World Championship for Women, and the Opals went on to beat Russia in the gold medal game.

Tracy Reid scored 12 points to lead an out-of-sorts Avenida, who are in fourth place with a 3-5 record.
